可能是由于我對(duì)英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)一直懷著巨大的熱情，同時(shí)成績(jī)也不錯(cuò)的緣故吧，從中學(xué)起我就成了各種英語(yǔ)比賽的�？停�尤其在大學(xué)階段，我有幸兩次參加全國(guó)性的英語(yǔ)賽事。如今，當(dāng)時(shí)比賽中扣人心弦的種種情形已漸漸被時(shí)間沖淡，只在偶然間會(huì)被重新記起。然而備戰(zhàn)的過(guò)程卻給我留下了許多值得回味的東西，它在潛移默化中影響甚至是改變著我的生活。

北外—青春的課堂

如果有人問(wèn)我，大學(xué)時(shí)代感受最深、收獲最大的是什么？我會(huì)毫不猶豫的說(shuō)，是有幸得到諸多良師的指點(diǎn)。他們賦予我的，不但是知識(shí)上的熏陶，更是把一種人文主義的精神長(zhǎng)久的植入我的腦海。這些感受，許多來(lái)自課堂，也有許多來(lái)自數(shù)次為參加全國(guó)比賽而進(jìn)行的集訓(xùn)。

楊宇光老師是我兩次比賽的指導(dǎo)老師，1997年辯論賽時(shí)他就是我們辯論隊(duì)的主教練。印象中他永遠(yuǎn)的治學(xué)嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)，永遠(yuǎn)的紳士風(fēng)度，永遠(yuǎn)說(shuō)用詞考究的british english，有著英國(guó)式的幽默。盡管當(dāng)時(shí)比賽的辯題并不是特別深刻的學(xué)術(shù)話(huà)題，但他依然要求我們深入破題，在底下做充分的research。為了給我們拓寬思路，他屢次召集系里的熱心老師，從老教授到年輕教員，與我們一同討論。用他的話(huà)來(lái)說(shuō)，只有充分剖析，寫(xiě)出來(lái)的東西才能有分量——這也是北外的學(xué)術(shù)傳統(tǒng)的體現(xiàn)。為了指導(dǎo)我們，他放棄了許多休息的時(shí)間。對(duì)我們的presentation，他逐字逐句進(jìn)行修改；幾乎每天他都親自安排我們的訓(xùn)練并細(xì)心點(diǎn)評(píng)我們發(fā)揮中的優(yōu)缺點(diǎn)。

到了第二年演講賽的時(shí)候，他又成為我的指導(dǎo)老師。當(dāng)時(shí)我的演講稿寫(xiě)得并不順。有的學(xué)校在這種大賽時(shí)采取老師替學(xué)生捉刀的方法，準(zhǔn)備演講部分的寫(xiě)作就由老師代勞。但楊老師始終認(rèn)為，這一環(huán)節(jié)也是對(duì)學(xué)生極好的鍛煉。記得那一個(gè)講稿，我重寫(xiě)了兩三遍，每一遍都對(duì)選題有了更深的理解，寫(xiě)得也更好一些。比賽時(shí)間迫近了，他把學(xué)院參加第一屆“21世紀(jì)杯”并獲獎(jiǎng)的師兄徐翌成找來(lái)，說(shuō)，“l(fā)et’s put our heads together, and make a final effort at it.”那天晚上，我們改稿改到深夜，終于拿出了一個(gè)令人滿(mǎn)意的version，稿子比我自己的更大氣，更層層深入，也更有文采。這篇文章為我的比賽增色不少，而經(jīng)過(guò)賽前的充分準(zhǔn)備，我在回答問(wèn)題部分和即興演講部分也發(fā)揮得很好，正式宣布結(jié)果前，老師走過(guò)來(lái)微笑著拍拍我的肩，說(shuō)“i think m.weilaioem.coming session上，卻又能智光四射的給我們提供許多思想的火花。對(duì)他的厚積薄發(fā)，我們時(shí)常感到由衷的折服。

演講，辯論賽的備戰(zhàn)，因其能夠得到學(xué)院的最強(qiáng)的師資陣容的點(diǎn)撥，而令所有過(guò)來(lái)人受益匪淺。記得1995年復(fù)旦大學(xué)奪得華語(yǔ)國(guó)際大專(zhuān)辯論賽冠軍后出版的《獅城舌戰(zhàn)》一書(shū)中，選手們把由多位資深教授給他們準(zhǔn)備的系列講座稱(chēng)為“濃縮的精神大餐”，把思辨的訓(xùn)練稱(chēng)為“把神經(jīng)繃到極細(xì)的線(xiàn)”的生活。而我們當(dāng)時(shí)訓(xùn)練的規(guī)模雖小，卻也能讓我們深深體會(huì)到此中的滋味，這實(shí)為人生的幸事。

有人說(shuō)，人們可以忘記年年歲歲，卻無(wú)法忘記片刻與瞬間，正是這些片刻與瞬間，讓短暫成為永恒。正是與老師朝夕相處的點(diǎn)點(diǎn)滴滴，讓我領(lǐng)悟到他們的治學(xué)和做人之道。我們深諳，比賽的勝負(fù)其實(shí)并不是最重要的，它只是我們鍛煉自身素質(zhì)的一種途徑，而更值得回味的，是過(guò)程中的所得，是領(lǐng)會(huì)那種踏踏實(shí)實(shí)的做學(xué)問(wèn)的精神。
